WELCOME TO THE In My Dorm WRITING SPACE

Welcome! My name is Michael Johnson. I am the founder of the In My Dorm Podcast and the In My Dorm Writing Space. I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama, and currently attend Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The Writing Space is a unique initiative that I believe you will find great value in. Here, you will find thoughtful and engaging articles written by college students, professors, and Christian leaders. My hope is that this space would serve as a complement to your personal time of devotion to Christ, as well as a guide through seasons such as Advent, 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more.

In my opinion, there is something incredibly valuable about reading the perspectives and thoughts of your peers. And if you happen to be a reader who is past the young adult stage of life—or has yet to reach it—there is value in that as well. My promise to you is that from the first article to the last, every piece will be written and revised with the utmost care and quality. Each article is intentionally written to accomplish one or more specific goals, including: building you up in your faith, drawing attention to areas of spiritual discipline, revealing more of God’s character, communicating biblical messages, ideas, and truths, and helping you grow in your knowledge of the Word.

Each article will be very different from the next. This is partly due to the diversity of our authors, but also because of what the Writing Space is meant to be—a space. A place where ministers come to write and publish what God has been placing on their hearts through His Word and Spirit. Creativity is not limited here. As you read, don’t allow your mind or imagination to be limited either.

God bless,

— Michael Johnson
